Company Bios
Noah Alers-Alers is a second semester sophomore Music Education major. He started his theatre career in his junior year of high school. Some of his highlighted roles include Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors, Damian in Mean Girls, The Parsee Man in Just So, and Colonel Mustard in Clue: The Musical. He has a year and a half of vocal lessons, and is ecstatic to be in his first leading role here at PSU. “To La Familia Alers-Alers. Paz, Graz, y Unidad. Te quiero mucho.”
Shakeira Barron is a sophomore musical theatre performance major with this being her 4th show at PSU. Her recent credits include Lucky Stiff (Spotlight Operator), Eurydice (Light Board Operator), Just So (Assistant Stage Manager). Shakeira is super excited to be a part of this amazing cast and get to work with this talented crew. She would like to thank the director Fran for giving her this opportunity. She would also like to thank her mom for her endless support and encouragement for every step of her theatre journey!
Abby Carlson is a sophomore Theatre Arts major with concentrations in Acting and Theatre Tech and Design. She has been acting for 9 years and is very excited to grow her skills as a vocalist and dancer through the character of Deputy. Previous performances in Spongebob the Musical with ETC (Karen the Computer) and Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night; Or What You Will with Plymouth State (Feste the Fool). Abby would like to thank her parents and professors for their ongoing guidance and support.
Ethan Clark (Lighting Designer) The Mystery of Edwin Drood is Ethan’s first Lighting Design with Plymouth State University and the Silver Center for The Arts. He has other Lighting Design credits with the Educational Theatre Collaborative’s SpongeBob: The Musical and he was a Co-Lighting Designer on PSU’s 2026 fall production of Clue: The Musical alongside Matthew Kizer. He is very familiar with the Hanaway Theater as he works in the scene shop as a lighting electrician. He is very excited for the audience to experience his design and hopes that they enjoy the show!
Devon Cranston is a sophomore music education major with a focus in Saxophone and Voice. His only previous involvement with shows here at Plymouth was with Just So in the spring of 2025, where he played Alto Saxophone in the Pit Orchestra. Other theatrical credits include Freaky Friday (Fletcher) and James and the Giant Peach (Earthworm). He’d like to thank his fellow pit musicians and all the actors for such a pleasant experience with this show, as well as his parents for coming to each and every event held in the Silver Center!
Alissa Cutting is a senior Music Theatre Performance major and is thrilled to perform in her sixth PSU production! Some of her favorite previous roles include Sandy Cheeks in SpongeBob The Musical, Hope in Urinetown, and Annabel Glick in Lucky Stiff. Alissa is hoping to pursue a graduates degree in opera performance in the coming years. She would like to thank her parents and her sister Cassie for always supporting her through her artistic journey, and she hopes that you enjoy this melodramatic and scandalous show!
River Doumato is a Junior Theatre Design/Tech major and a Carpenter in the Silver Center scene shop. They are ecstatic to be a part of The Mystery of Edwin Drood as an Assistant Stage Manager and Scenic Painter. Selected PSU credits include Clue: The Musical (substitute ASM), Noises Off (ASM), & Twelfth Night (Deck Manager). Other credits: Education Theatre Collaborative’s production of The SpongeBob Musical (ASM) and Plymprov’s Dungeons and Drama Improv show, Pirates! (ASM). Abby Evans is a senior Theatre Technology and Design Major with a focus in costume design and scenic painting. She is very excited to be Master Painter for The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She has previously worked on Noises Off, Just So, Lucky Stiff, Secret in the Wings, Godspell, and all 3 Dungeons and Drama shows. She would like to thank her friends and family for helping to support her and get her this far.
Avery Fecteau (Rosa Bud) is overjoyed to be performing in The Mystery of Edwin Drood this spring. Avery is a Junior Music Theatre Performance major. You may recognize her from previous Plymouth State performances including Lucky Stiff (Featured Ensemble), Just So (Ensemble), and Clue: The Musical (The Detective). In addition to performing in shows, Avery is involved with a handful of student organizations here on campus. She is currently Vice President of Plymprov/Plymouth Players, a part of treble a capella group, Mixed Emotions, and is a proud sister of her sorority, Kappa Delta Phi NAS. Some of Avery’s professional credits include Sphrintze in Fiddler on the Roof and Edna in Gay Bride of Frankenstein. Shay Folger is a freshman Musical Theatre Performance major and is absolutely thrilled to be in her first production at PSU! She has recently worked behind the stage as a crew member of PSU’s production of Noises Off! She is excited to grow more as a dancer as an ensemble member in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Shay has been acting and singing for over a decade and cannot wait to continue her performance journey. She would like to thank her boyfriend, Jake, for his support and pushing her every single day!
Daneé Gosselin has been the resident Costume Designer and Costume Shop Manager at PSU since 2007. She also moonlighted as a Scenic Designer and Scenic Painter for Urinetown (2023). Favorite past PSU costume designs include Twelfth Night (2024), Into The Woods (2022), The Addams Family (2019), Dracula (2014), The Pleasure Men (2013), and Orpheus in the Underworld (2013). Daneé also teaches classes relating to costume design, costume construction, and stage makeup.
Lillian Graham is a Senior Musical Theatre Performance major and she is thrilled to be playing The Princess Puffer in PSU’s production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Some of her past credits include Clue the Musical (Mrs. White), Lucky Stiff (Rita La Porta), Once Upon a Mattress (Lady Rowena), and Legally Blonde (Vivienne). Meredith Hoole is a senior Musical Theatre Performance major, and she is happy to be ending her time at PSU with The Mystery of Edwin Drood. As Flo, the Assistant Director, and Dance Captain, Meredith has enjoyed wrapping up her senior year with her beloved choreographer, Lisa Travis, and her director, Fran Page. Meredith made her professional debut this past summer in The Winnipesaukee Playhouse’s production of The Wedding Singer. Some of her favorite past credits include Eurydice (Eurydice), Once Upon a Mattress (Princess Winnifred), and Urinetown (Little Sally). She would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors, for all of their support and love over the past four years. James Kelleher is a junior Music Theatre Performance major here at PSU. Previous appearances include Eurydice (Orpheus), Clue the Musical (Mr Green), and Heathers (Ram Sweeney). Matt Kizer has been the resident designer for Plymouth State since 1996. He has presented workshops on projections for performance nationally and internationally, including the Prague Quadrennial, the National Opera Association in New York, and The Cyprus Theatre Organization in Nicosia. His work has been presented at the Kennedy Center in D.C., and with A-Fortiorni dance company in Germany. He designed for two years with Operafestival Di Roma in Italy with the Orchestra Sinfonica dell’ International Chamber Ensemble at Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza in central Rome. His projection media and virtual education tools for theatre are used by institutions around the world. In 2019, his work was included on behalf of the United States at the The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space both in exhibition and performance. He has a B.A. from Purdue University, and an M.F.A. from The Ohio State University.
Ellie Kloewer is a 3rd year Theatre Arts major with a concentration in Theatrical Design and Technology, and is thrilled to help bring The Mystery of Edwin Drood to life as this productions Props Master. This will be her second time designing properties for a PSU show, following November 2025’s Clue: The Musical. She’d like to thank her friends and family for their continued support.
Nate LaPorte is a Junior Musical Theatre Performance major and is excited to be playing James Throttle in The Mystery of Edwin Drood! Nate has been acting for over 8 years now and singing for 2 years. His recent roles include Squidward Tentacles in ETC’s Spongebob the Musical, Professor Plum in PSU’s Clue the Musical, and Luigi Gaudi in PSU’s Lucky Stiff. He has had an awesome time working with this cast and crew. He wants to thank his friends and family, who have shown him infinite support throughout his career. Enjoy the show!
Connor Lavertu is a sophomore Theater Arts Contract major, with a focus in Scenic Design and Acting. He is elated to be your Chairman this evening (or afternoon). Recent credits include Scenic Designer for Wearable Art, NPC in PIRATES! A Dungeons and Drama Show, Scenic Charge for Clue the Musical, Tim Allgood in Noises Off, and The Rhino in Just So. He is incredibly excited to be a part of this show and would like to thank his family, friends and Jen Matzke for their continued support! He hopes your ready to solve the greatest unsolved mystery!
Joie Lynch is a senior Theatre Arts Major with an emphasis on Musical Theatre Performance. She is, as always, grateful and excited to be a part of another production here at PSU. Past performances have included: Noises Off (Dotty/Mrs.Clackett), Just So (Kolokolo Bird), Lucky Stiff (Dominique Du Monaco), Godspell, Once Upon a Mattress (Lady Larken), SpongeBob (Sardine 1) and others. She recently placed 1st in the Granite State NATS College Music Theatre Competition. Before starting University, she also attended cosmetology school and received her license. She extends her gratitude towards all of the amazing staff of the Silver Center. She’d also like to especially thank her wonderful family and friends who continue to make her journey possible.
Jeremy Maddocks (Followspot Operator) is a Sophomore Theatre Design/Tech Major and has worked as tech for several PSU shows, such as makeup for Dungeons & Drama, wardrobe for Eurydice, and Run crew for Lucky Stiff. They also work as a stitcher for the Silver Costume Shop.
Hannah Murray (Music Director) Hannah Murray, lyric soprano, received her B.A. in vocal performance from Connecticut College, and her M.M. in vocal pedagogy and performance from Westminster Choir College. Additional studies include the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, and Middlebury College’s Deutsch fur Sängerin program. A highly sought-after voice teacher, Mrs. Murray’s students have gone on to sing at some of the nation’s leading Schools of Music, such as Boston Conservatory, Elon, the Tisch school at NYU, and Yale, and have also sung on national musical theater tours, and off and on Broadway.
An accomplished singer in her own right, Mrs. Murray has performed throughout the Northeastern United States. She has been a soloist for The New Hampshire Philharmonic, The Lakes Region Symphony, The Nashua Symphony, The Concord Community Chorus, The Walker Lecture Series, The Paul Madore Chorale, The Opera Circle, The Keiser Concert Series at St. Paul’s School, and the Musicians of Wall Street series at Concord Community Music School, amongst others.
Mrs. Murray is thrilled to be on the full-time faculty at Plymouth State University as an Assistant Professor of Practice. In addition to her administrative and private teaching duties, she serves as Music Director for the Plymouth State University Musicals and teaches music and voice-related classes there. Formerly, she held the position of Voice and Choral Department Chair at Concord Community Music School, Adjunct Lecturer of Music at St. Anselm College, spent three years as Music Director at South Congregational Church, and recently served on the board of the Boston Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, where she held the position of Director of Boston Student NATS (SNATS). Mrs. Murray is a resident of Concord, NH and is the mother of two, Grace and Caroline.
Justin McCarthy, conductor, has been a member of the piano faculty at Plymouth State University since 2009, and currently serves as Coordinator of Collaborative Piano in the Department of Music, Theatre, & Dance. Justin has given recitals in New York, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Ireland, and the Czech Republic. His recent productions have included Into the Woods, The Addams Family, Mary Poppins, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wedding Singer, Urinetown, Jacques Brel, Sister Act, Little Women, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Once Upon a Mattress, and Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. Recently, Justin has appeared in recital with violinist Elliott Markow, clarinetist Stephanie Ratte Jenkins, and sopranos Hannah Murray & Emily Jaworski. Justin holds Bachelor & Master’s degrees from Rice University, and his Doctorate from Boston University. He is currently the Music Director & Organist at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Bedford, NH, and maintains an active teaching studio at the Manchester Community Music School.
Zoe Nagle is a freshman Music Theater major with a Pre-Law Minor. She is excited to be in her first Plymouth State Production as a member of the ensemble. Some of her previous credits include the roles of Wednesday (Addams Family), Jane Seymour (SIX: The Musical, Teen Edition), and Annabeth Chase (The Lightning Thief). She hopes you filthy lot enjoy the show!
Fran Page holds a BA in Acting from Plymouth State University and a MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts (Applied Theatre) from Goddard College. He has performed, taught, and directed throughout New England, South Africa, Canada, and Eastern Europe. Fran is a Teaching Lecturer in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance, coordinates the Standardized Patient Program at PSU. He is the Co-Producing Artistic Director of The Educational Theatre Collaborative. PSU Theatre directing credits include: Just So, Once upon a Mattress, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, A Killer Party, Little Romance, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Deathtrap, Sweet Charity, A Man of No Importance, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Avenue Q. Fran’s solo show BareFruit premiered at PortFringe with subsequent productions at The West End Studio Theatre (Portsmouth, NH) and Plymouth State University. Special thanks to LBP.
Haley Serafine is a senior Marketing major with a Theatre minor. She is excited to be in this production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, her seventh production at PSU! Some of her favorite past roles include Belinda in Noises Off, The Queen in Once Upon a Mattress, Sonia in Godspell, and Emily in Our Town. Max Shanteler is a Junior Theatre major with a focus in Stage Management, and is excited to bring you The Mystery of Edwin Drood! Taylor Smith (Victor Grinstead / Neville Landless) is grateful to step on stage for his last show as a Plymouth State University student in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Taylor’s previous show credits include: Noises Off, Twelfth Night, Lucky Stiff, and Once Upon a Mattress. In addition to theatre Taylor studies English and Music, serves as PSU’s Student Senate Speaker, and is a member of the Future Alumni Board. He has had a great time on this show and has nothing but respect for the group he has gotten to work with, as well as thanks for all his supporters and family.
Lisa Travis has had a 40-year career in dance as a performer, choreographer and teacher. She was the founder of Terminal Hip Dance Theatre, a collaborative ensemble in NH and a performer with Emmy Award winner Billbob Browns’ Chaos Theory Dance. She began her teaching career at New Hampton School where she held the position of Director of Dance for 8 years. Lisa then went on to serve on the faculty of Plymouth State University in the department of Music, Theater and Dance. During her 20+years at PSU, she taught dance pedagogy and technique courses, as well as choreographing for the Musical Theater Department and the Contemporary Dance Ensemble. In 2006, she traveled to Vietnam as guest choreographer for the Vietnamese National Opera and Ballet with her colleague Dr Perkins and in 2019 had the honor of performing Brilliant Being at the Prague Quadrennial, an original work by Matthew Kizer, Paul Mroczka and Amanda Whitworth. In 2011 she was the recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Lecturer Award, recognizing her hard work and dedication to her students and the world of dance. She has choreographed for community and professional theaters in NH, receiving a NH Theater Award in 2017 for best community production at the Little Church Theatre. Lisa is a 500 hour Advanced Shakti Flow Yoga Guide and enjoys teaching yoga in retirement.
Enzo Valenti is a freshman theater arts major and is brand new to Plymouth’s theater arts program. This is his first show here and is grateful to be a part of this wonderful crowd doing one of his personal favorite shows. He has history in high school theater playing roles like Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Lurch in The Addams Family, and many more. He is so excited and hopes you enjoy the show as much as he is.
Taylor Weisenborn is a Sophomore Technical Theatre Major and this is her first show as an Assistant Stage Manager! She is excited to be a part of Edwin Drood. In the past she’s been a Wardrobe Supervisor for Just So and done Wardrobe for Lucky Stiff. She hopes to do more Stage Management stuff in the future and hopefully get a lot more involved with costumes her Junior Year!
