Suggested Pre-requirements: ST: Costume Design, Fundamentals of Costume, Intro to Design
Credits: 2 (1 for Dance Project) Practicum Type: Advanced (letter grade)

Locations: Costume Shop, Dressing Rooms
Time Commitment: Start of design process (beginning of semester, sometimes a month before) through final dress, all production meetings
Responsibilities:
- Be able to give a script and character analysis of the show
- Work with the director and other designers to ensure a cohesive vision
- Collect relevant research of concept and clothing styles
- You will need to attend:
- Costume fittings – as many as possible
- All production meetings
- Crew watch
- All dress rehearsals
- Any requested check-ins
- You will need to turn in a Design Package (by the final day of classes) which includes:
- Costume renderings (or vision board when appropriate)
- A collection of research
- A costume plot
- Who wears what and when
- Work with the Costume Shop Manager to source desired pieces and materials
- Keep open communication with stage management
- Check email regularly for rehearsal reports
Anything Else: Renderings and paperwork can be in a physical or digital format, whatever your preference is. The design package should look clean and professional with sources cited properly. In the event that production meetings fall during your class time, Daneé will sit in for you and provide any notes or requests from the creative team.
