BIOGRAPHIES
SARA-ANN BAILINSON (Petra) is a first year theatre major with a focus in acting here at PSU! She is very excited to be playing the role of Petra Stockmann. In her free time, when she isn’t doing activities related to theatre, she loves drawing and painting as well as doing special effects makeup. She wants to thank her family for supporting her, her friends for helping her run lines and for being such amazing people! Also special thanks to the cast and crew! Have a great day!
GARRISON BARRON (Assistant Stage Manager) is honored to be working as the Assistant Stage Manager for Plymouth States production of The Enemy of the People. Garrison Barron is a sophomore Theater Arts student with an option in acting and a minor in standardized patient training. This is Garrison first time assistant stage-managing job at Plymouth state, but not his first time on stage. Garrison recently played couple ensemble roles in Plymouths recent productions of Our Town and Addams Family. When Garrison is not working in a theater setting, he is playing ultimate frisbee or going hiking with friends.
GRACE FAY BROOKS (Dr. T Stockmann) is a 21 year old senior double majoring in Psychology and Theatre Arts with an option in Acting, and minors in Dance and Standardized Patient Training. She was most recently seen as Maureen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane. She is excited to be in her last show at PSU, and would like to thank her friends and loved ones for coming to see her and always supporting her passion!
MIKAYLA CATERINO (Mrs. Stockmann) is extremely excited to be in her fifth production as a junior studying Music Theatre Performance. Some past credits include Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins) and The Addams Family Musical (Morticia Addams). This January she had the privilege of spending ten days exploring the beautiful cities of Spain with PSU’s Chamber Singers and sharing music with different schools. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her pursuit of the arts. She would also like to thank the cast and crew for their dedication to making this show the best it can be.
JOSEPH FRANCOEUR (Aslaken) is a first year Theatre Arts major and they are so excited for their first show with Plymouth State University! Though Joey isn’t one for long walks on the beach, in their free time you can find them choreographing dances, going out with friends, and writing murder mystery scripts (spoiler: the butler did it!) with their family! Joey would like to thank their absolutely wonderful friends and everyone who worked on the show for being so supportive and fun to work with! Joey would also like to thank their parents and cat for always supporting them through everything…they also have a brother. They hope you enjoy this funny, dark, and strangely relevant show!
MACKENZIE GOODWIN (Billing) is a sophmore Theatre Arts major with a Design/Tech option. She is thrilled to be appearing in her first production here at PSU. Favorite roles include Wendla Bergmann in Spring Awakening (Actorsingers), Mary Lane in Reefer Madness (Actorsingers), and most recently, Natalie in Next To Normal (Cue Zero Theatre Company). When she’s not on stage, Mackenzie can usually be found working backstage in some regard. Thanks to her friends and family for their support!
MiCHAEL HUGHES (Hovstad) is a first-year at PSU and is beyond excited to be in his first show at college. Some of his previous credits include Marius Pontmercy in Les Miserables and Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain. Outside of theatre, Michael likes to snowboard and be with his friends. He also wants to thank his family for always supporting him through everything. Michael hopes you enjoy the show!
TREVOR JOHNSON (Eilif) Trevor Johnson is excited to be playing Eilif, this is Trevor’s first year and first production at PSU. He is proud to be apart of such a wonderful cast and would like to thank the crew, the director aswell as his friends, family and partner.
MATT KIZER (Scenic Design & Projections) is the resident designer for Plymouth State University. He has designed projections, scenery, and lighting for national tours, theatres, and universities in the United States and internationally. His work has been staged at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.; in Potsdam, Germany; in the United Kingdom; and in venues across North America. He has presented workshops for many universities and institutions, including the Cyprus Centre of Scenographers, Theatre Architects and Technicians (CYCSTAT) in Nicosia and the National Opera Association in New York City. He served as faculty lighting designer for Operafestival Di Roma in Rome, Italy with the Orchestra Sinfonica dell’ International Chamber Ensemble at Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza. He serves as webmaster and contributor for BroadwayScene.com, AllTicketsInc.com, BroadwayIQ.com, and BroadwayEducators.com, all New York-based websites for theatre resources and Broadway sales. He holds a BA in Theatre from Purdue University, an MFA in Design from The Ohio State University.
SAM. LITTLE (Morten Kiil) is a Senior Communications Major with an option in Media. This is his second and final show with the school before he graduates. He is extremely excited to be taking on the role of Morten Kiil. He wants to thank everybody involved in this process and wishes everyone nothing but the best!
TIMOTHY L’ECUYER (Director) is a teaching lecturer in the Department of
Music, Theatre, and Dance at Plymouth State University and the education director at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith, New Hampshire. He is also a director and an Equity stage manager. In another life, he was an English and theatre teacher in several New Hampshire high schools. He directed last season’s production of Our Town at PSU. Other favorite projects as a director include The 39 Steps, Red, The Rocky Horror Show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Mary’s Wedding, Romeo and Juliet, The Secret in the Wings, Aida, Lord of the Flies, Proof, I Am My Own Wife, Fahrenheit
451, Electra, Pippin, Twelfth Night, Spring Awakening (the play and the musical), and the New Hampshire premiere of Altar Boyz. Mr. L’Ecuyer has worked with many New Hampshire and Boston area theatres including American Stage Festival, the Barnstormers, Theatre KAPOW, StageCoach productions, Peacock Players, Stoneham Theatre, the Nora Theatre Company, and Underground Railway Theater. He has undergraduate degrees in theatre and English and an MA in theatre education from Emerson College, where he will complete his MFA in 2020.
CHRISTIAN SIMPSON (Captain Horster) is a Sophomore Theatre Arts Major with an option in Musical Theatre Performance. An Enemy of the People is his third acting credit, the other two coming from Our Town (ensemble), and Addams Family (Mal Beineke). He is very excited and grateful to be working with an amazing cast an crew, and is especially excited to dive into a character who seems like an outlier to everyone else in this show.
ANNA SKALA (Morten)is a first year transfer student, originating from the far off land of Illinois, where she has done a few shows that you probably didn’t see her in. Most recently, she was the stage manager for “The Beauty Queen of Leenane”. Currently she enjoys knitting and listening to music, making a fool of herself, and asking her roommate’s Google Home what the weather is outside. Anna thanks her family, friends and grand associate for their undying support and sends blessings to them all, even from a thousand miles away.
IZZY STAFFORD (Assistant Director) is a Junior, and is studying acting here at Plymouth State University. She has been in a few shows here, and this is her first time assistant directing. She would like to thank all of her friends and family for taking this leap into a different aspect of her career.

This exceptionally funny, fast-paced musical, which won the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, provides audiences with embarrassing gaffes, hilarious mishaps, and escalating laughs. In The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee a half-dozen tweens compete for the ultimate title of “Putnam County Spelling Bee Champion.” As each competitor journeys towards victory or defeat, they openly share their life experiences, hopes, dreams, ambitions, and insecurities. As we get to know each speller, the musical twists and turns from being hysterically funny to beautifully touching. With a brilliantly crafted book by Rachel Sheinkin and an engaging and dynamic score by William Finn, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is the perfect show for audiences of all ages. By the way, audience members have a shot at the title too! The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is directed by Fran Page with choreography by Lisa Travis and music directed by Cassandra Cutting.
