Please sign up below for a 5-minute audition appointment on:
Wednesday, November 19 • 4pm to 8pm  (for both shows).

Dance Call and Callbacks will be Thursday, November 20 • 4pm to 8pm (Callbacks are for both shows, dance call is for Drood).  Specifics To Be Announced.

Instructions:
  1.  Prepare a one-to-two minute monologue of your own choosing.
If you are not auditioning for the musical, simply prepare the monologue – something that you find interesting and engaging.
  2. If you ARE auditioning for the musical, then …
    •  Choose a monologue that fits the style of the show or character you are auditioning for (examples: Sherlock Holmes, anything Dickens or Victorian). Fran would like to see those auditioning integrate a British (RP) dialect as well.
    • Prepare a 1 minute cut in the style of the show, or in the style of a character you would most like to be cast as.
  3.  If you are auditioning for The Mystery of Edwin Drood, you must also attend Dance Call on Thursday.   The structure of callbacks is to be determined, but they are likely to include callbacks for both shows.

Passages
To be devised by the ensemble under the direction of Scott Sweatt.
This production will be performed environmentally throughout public spaces within the Silver Center for the Arts.  This production will challenge the definitions of theatre and will experiment with the relationships between audience, venue, and performer.

The Mystery of Edwin Drood
Book, Music and Lyrics by Rupert Holmes
Directed by Fran Page
Performed in The Hanaway Theatre
Based on Charles Dickens’ final unfinished novel, this hilarious whodunit invites the audience to solve its mystery by choosing the identity of the murderer. The tale is presented as a show-within-a-show, as the Music Hall Royale – a delightfully loony Victorian theatre company – presents Dickens’ brooding mystery.
