Suggested Pre-requirements: Fundamentals of Costume Design, any sewing experience
Credits: 1 Practicum Type: Regular (Pass/Fail)

Location: Costume Shop (Silver 206)
Time Commitment: 40 hours over the course of the semester
Responsibilities:
- Work 4-6 hours per week in the Costume Shop
- Please schedule these hours with Daneé within the first week of accepting the practicum
- Work with Daneé and Costume Shop employees to build costumes for all shows in assigned semester
- Tasks may include:
- Sewing – hand and/or machine
- Crafting – working with materials such as hot glue, thermoplastic, paint, dye, etc.
- Maintenance – cleaning and organizing
Anything Else: We will work with your current set of skills while expanding your costume building knowledge. It is helpful to have already taken Fundamentals of Costume, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills are more important.
Doing a 40-hour practicum is a good step towards getting hired in the Costume Shop, if you so desire!
