Time Commitment: Start of design/rehearsal process through opening night

Responsibilities:

  • Research topics pertinent to the world of the play including but not limited to:
    • Language based (translation related)
      • If a script is translated into English from other languages, looking at different translations could provide insight
    • Time periods
    • Historical events
    • Cultural specifics
  • Prepare educational materials for the cast, student groups, the audience
    • Possibly create lobby or interactive displays in connection with the show
  • Possibly prepare presentations or experiences related to your research
  • Receive research assignments from anyone on the creative team
    • You may be tasked at looking into a song, a clothing style, architecture, anything to help understand the world of the show

Anything Else: All researched information needs to be properly documented in MLA format.
