Master Carpenter

Pre-requirements: Stagecraft, a previous Scene Shop practicum or comparable experience

Credits: 1-2 depending on workload             Practicum Type: Advanced (letter grade)

Report To: Heather Manfredi hmmanfredi@usnh.edu

Location: Scene Shop

Time Commitment: Varies

Responsibilities:

  • Assigning special projects to people working in the Scene Shop
    • Being in charge of the drafting and construction of those projects
  • Working with other students on production as the Team Lead
  • Being responsible for insuring that the Scene Shop is properly cleaned end of the shift and making sure everything is put away
  • Taking charge of maintaining safety protocols

Anything Else: The Scene Shop will not schedule anyone for any time less than an hour and a half per block.  Less than that is not enough time to set a project up and make progress before having to leave.

Be sure to wear Shop-appropriate clothing (long pants, close-toed shoes, long hair pulled back, etc.)

Production meeting attendance is not required, but you are welcome to come to any of them if need be.

The Master Carpenter is not required to attend any Tech or Dress Rehearsals.
