Please use this form to sign-up to be a part of the Twelfth Night Dance Party pre-show. You are also encouraged to share this link with others who may be interested. This is a low-commitment volunteer opportunity and the company of Twelfth Night would be very grateful if you are willing to participate. *please note that you are encouraged to sign up for the pre-show on a night/(s) you are NOT attending the show.
*we are looking for 10-15 people each rehearsal/performance
What is the pre-show?
Volunteers along with Twelfth Night cast members will dance on stage to a pre-show playlist. Volunteers can also say hi/chat with audience members as they enter the theatre in an effort to bring up the energy in the crowd before the show begins.
What is the commitment?
For the night(s) you sign up for, you should arrive at the Cheney Studio Theatre between 6:30 and 6:45pm and plan to stay until about 7:05pm/when the pre-show announcement recording plays (for the matinee this would mean arriving by 12:45pm and staying until about 1:05pm). At approximately 15 minutes before go the playlist will get louder and feature more dance songs. The commitment is to dance during that playlist and to exit the theatre when the pre-show announcement plays.
What do I wear?
Modern club attire from your own wardrobe. Think dressed up: shiny, sparkly, or sleek. Perhaps what you would wear to an evening wedding or bougie concert. *If you sign-up for multiple nights, you can re-wear your outfit
What if I am not a good dancer?
You do not have to be a good dancer/have dance training to volunteer. If you are not super comfortable dancing you can: sign up with a group of friends and hide among them (very authentic club experience) OR plan to be a social media attendee–mingle around taking selfies with people, take videos of/with other pre-show attendees (with consent), and chat up the audience.
