Shakespeare on the Move workshop 9/25

In connection with Advice To The Players’ production of The Tempest that is touring to PSU on Wednesday, September 25–the company will be offering a Shakespeare and movement workshop led by Charls Sedgwick Hall*. The workshop will be in the Smith Recital Hall Wednesday 9/25 from 4:30-5:30/5:45 (dependent on number of participants). Shakespeare On The Move is a workshop of embodying Shakespeare’s text through a series of movement exercise. Active participation in this workshop is limited to 15 students. Please RSVP to Jessie at jmchapman@plymouth.edu to get on the list. An unlimited number of observers are welcome at the workshop (no rsvp required). To participate fully in the workshop please come in with a monologue/piece of memorized Shakespeare text. If you need help selecting a Shakespeare monologue, you can contact Jessie. (If you have already taken Voice & Diction 1, you can use your monologue from that class). After the workshop you can see Charls perform as Prospero in The Tempest. Fall 2023 Auditions for War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast & Godspell May 2-May 4, 2023. All auditions and callbacks are taking place in the Smith Recital Hall Instructions: Please sign up for one five-minute audition slot on the ‘sign-ups’ tab on the callboard and fill out the audition form linked below by noon on Tuesday, May 2. There will be a limited number of Acting Only audition slots available where you will not be required to sing (and an accompanist will not be available during the acting only slots), these slots are labeled ‘Acting Only’ on the sign up sheet. Advice To The Players’ production of Henry V will be performing in the Elizabeth Cheney Studio Theater at 10am on Friday September 9. The show will be under two hours and include a talk back with the performers–including PSU alums (Garrison Barron, Andrew Codispoti, and Ethan Fifield) and current students (Sara-Ann Bailinson & Abi Burke)–Imanee Gordon is also SM’ing. Little Women Callbacks

Thursday, December 2. 3:30-5:30pm Thank you so much to all who auditioned for Little Women. There was a tremendous amount of talent displayed, which made our job very hard. Since this is a small-cast show, our callback decisions reflect the strongest possibilities for the tight-knit ensemble we’d like to create for this production.  The final cast list will be posted by the end of the week, and those who are not called back may be included in the final cast list, and those who are called back may be cast in a different role than what you are called back for. If you are not cast and would like to reach out to Jessie and/or Hannah for feedback on your audition, you are encouraged to do so.
