Rowyn Abbott-Smith

Rowyn is a freshman who has not yet declared a major. This is her first (and unfortunately last) show with PSU.  She has been performing in musicals for the past six years, and her recent favorite roles include Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, Gavroche in Les Misérables and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She would like to thank her family for providing helpful critiques on her singing (telling her to shut up). Most importantly she would like to thank the cast and production team for all the work they put into this show, and she hopes you enjoy this production!

Lillian Graham

Lillian Graham is a Sophomore Musical Theatre major from Pembroke, NH. Having previously appeared as Tipsy Trixie in Urinetown last spring, and as various characters in The War of The Worlds: A Panic Broadcast, Lillian is more than excited to finish her sophomore year as Lady Rowena in Once Upon a Mattress. Lillian would like to thank all her loved ones and teachers for their continued support!

Will Platt

Will is a junior game design major non traditional student. This is his second undergraduate degree. He is excited to be back on stage and wants to take this opportunity to thank the entire PSU performing arts community for welcoming him in.

Cyrus Unger Bowditch

With this being his first musical at PSU, Cyrus is incredibly excited for this show! Beyond this show, he is an IDS major focusing on physics, as well as a member of PSU’s lower-range acapella group Vocal Order.

Lucas Johanson (he/they)

Lucas is a 3rd year theatre tech and design major here at PSU and is very excited to be assistant costume designer for such a wonderful production. Previously, Lucas has worked on PSU’s productions of “Little Women” (costume construction), “Into the Woods” (set painting & costume construction), “War of the Worlds: A Panic Broadcast” (ASM, set construction, and costume construction) and “Urinetown” (Assistant costume design, costume construction, set building, & set painting). He hopes you enjoy the show! 

Ian Manning

Ian is a Junior Biology major with a minor in Music. Previous appearances at PSU include Into The Woods (Jack), Urinetown (Robbie the Stockfish), and War of the Worlds (Studio Announcer). He is thrilled to be making his fourth appearance here as Dauntless . He is incredibly excited and grateful to work alongside the wonderful cast and crew that have made this production possible, and he hopes you enjoy the show!

Colton R. Stergue

Colton Stergue is a jr. at PSU and this will be his 3rd production at PSU and his first experience doing a musical at this school. The role he will be playing is “King Sextimus” a king that was cursed by a witch to be mute, he may not be able to speak but he does find ways to communicate… A mute King in a musical, what could go wrong?

Calle Marion Bisaillon

Calle (she/they) is a Senior with a major in Theatre Performance – Acting and Theatrical Design, with a minor in Film Studies. Her past roles include Viola (Twelfth Night), Orson Welles (War of the Worlds: the Panic Broadcast), and various roles in The Secret in the Wings. She is incredibly proud of the all the work the cast and crew have put in and is excited for you to watch the show come to life!

Sorchae McMeel

Sorchae is a Senior Theatre Arts major from Manchester, NH. She will dearly miss the friends she’s made at PSU, and the wonderful staff who helped her grow as a performer and person. Some of their previous roles include Nicole/The Death Donkey in Midnite, ensemble in Urinetown, and Lana Sherwood/Ora Nichols in War of The Worlds. She is excited to bring her energy to the Hanaway stage one final time as Lady Lucille/ensemble. On to the next adventure!

Ginny Fisher

Ginny Fisher is doing her best to temporarily fill the shoes of the talented Danne Goslin. Ginny graduated from PSU (’96, ‘06g, ’09 CAGS) while serving as Silver Center House Manager for 26 years and teaching in the Music, Theater and Dance department. Since leaving PSU, she has held positions as Costume Designer, Costume Shop Manager and stitcher at Interlakes Theatre. Past costuming work includes The Cleveland Play House, International Theater of Tehran, American Stage Festival, and St. Paul’s School. She is happy to be back with the wonderful PSU theater students, faculty and staff.

Ginny Fisher

Samuel Rogers

Sam is a third year undergraduate at Plymouth State University and has been apart of the National Thespian Society for 7 years. Their previous experiences at the Silver Center include Urinetown (Light Board Operator), Silent Sky (Actor and Master Electrician), War of the Worlds (Lighting Designer), and The Secret in the Wings (Master Electrician). Sam is from California where they acted and worked for shows like The Foreigner, Businessman’s Lunch, Les Misérables, And Then There Were None, West Side Story, and Check Please. They are proud to be your Lighting Designer and grateful for your support for the arts!

Simone LaPlante

Simone is a first-year Environmental Science and Policy major and is excited to be part of this production. Some of her favorite past shows include Tuck Everlasting (Teenage Winnie), Bright Star (Daryl Ames), and Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth). She would like to thank the cast and crew for being so supportive and fun to work with. She is thrilled to continue her passion for performing and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Haley Serafine

Haley Serafine is a sophomore Marketing major with a Theatre minor.  She  is ecstatic to be playing the Queen in this production of Once Upon A Mattress, her third production at PSU! Some of her favorite past roles include Godspell (Turn Back, O Man soloist), The Little Mermaid jr. (Ursula), Urinetown (Little Sally), and Our Town (Emily). She would like to thank her parents for always being so supportive. She would also like to thank the cast and crew for their incredible work on this production. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Max Shanteler

Max is a freshman Technical Theatre & Design Major and is very excited to be the Stage Manager for this show! He has previously worked many tech roles at his high school including Student Technical Director, and is happy to work his first major role in a Plymouth State production. Max would like to thank his fellow MTD students and the faculty for all of their help, along with his family for their continued enthusiastic support, and he hopes that you enjoy the show!

Alissa Cutting

Alissa is a sophomore Music Theatre Performance major and is thrilled to perform in her third PSU production! Some of her favorite previous rolls include Ariel in The Little Mermaid Jr, Hope in Urinetown, and Young Alice in Bright Star. She would like to thank her parents and her sister Cassie for always supporting her through her artistic journey, and she hopes that you laugh out loud during this fun show!

Justin McCarthy, Conductor

Justin McCarthy, conductor, currently serves as Coordinator of Collaborative Piano in the Department of Music, Theatre, & Dance. His recent productions have included Into the Woods, The Addams Family, Mary Poppins, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wedding Singer, Urinetown, Jacques Brel, Sister Act, Little Women, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. Justin is currently the Music Director and Organist at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Bedford, NH.  Justin also serves as pianist for the Nashua Choral Society and maintains an active teaching studio at the Manchester Community Music School.    

Joie Lynch

Joie Lynch is a second year Theatre Major with an emphasis on Musical Theatre. She is very enthusiastic to be apart of the cast for Once Upon a Mattress. Past performances have included: The Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch of the West), The Sound of Music (Brigitta Von Trapp), Godspell (Day by Day soloist), and more. Before starting school here, she attended cosmetology school and received her license. She’d like to thank all of the phenomenal staff of Silver, as well as her wonderful family and friends who have made her journey possible.

Dillon Lorden

Dillon Lorden is a Sophomore Theatre Design and Technologies Major from Chichester, NH. During his first year at Plymouth State University, Dillon did Scenic Carpentry for Into the Woods and Midnite, and Scenic Painting for Urinetown and Silent Sky, as well as being Assistant Scenic Designer for The War of The Worlds and Secret in the Wings. Dillon is very excited to finish this season as the Assistant Scenic Designer for Once Upon a Mattress and wants to thank his family and friends for their continued support! Break a leg!

Meredith Hoole

Meredith Hoole is a sophomore Musical Theatre Performance major and she is so excited to be portraying Princess Winnifred in PSU’s production of Once Upon A Mattress. Some of her favorite past credits include Godspell (O Bless The Lord soloist), Urinetown (Little Sally), 9 to 5 (Judy Bernly), and The Lightning Thief (Annabeth). She would like to thank the cast and crew for all of their hard work on this production. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Michael Aviles Bramer

Michael has been performing in shows since elementary school, and has played a variety of roles of different kinds, but one kind that he enjoys playing the most is the crazy old man, a role which he will reprise in this show. He gives thanks to his family and friends for providing the support that he needs to perform.

Jackson Ploof

Jackson Ploof is a Senior Music Theatre Performance Major and he is honored to be performing in this production! Some of his previous performances include Schroeder (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown), The Narrator (Into The Woods), Nicely Nicely Johnson (Guys and Dolls), Caldwell B. Cladwell (urinetown), and Lamar (Godspell). He is sad, yet thankful to be performing his last show as a undergraduate here at Plymouth State and would like to thank his friends and family as he takes his next step into the world of professional theatre.

Tori Freeman

Tori is a Junior Acting Major at PSU who is honored to have been selected to be the Assistant Stage Manager for the show. They were previously cast as the characters Sam and Cob in the show Midnite. They were glad to be a part of process of making this show come to be.

Joey Goldberg

Joey Goldberg is a Senior Music Theatre Performance major and is incredibly excited to be finishing out her college theatre career with the first director she had at Plymouth state, Fran Page! Joey would like to thank her family, friends, and the entire cast crew of Once Upon a Mattress! She would also like to thank Fran Page, Hannah Murray, and Justin McCarthy for supporting her throughout this past year and this production! Past credits include Judas (Godspell), Little Becky Two-Shoes (Urinetwon), Little Red (Into the Woods), Lucy (Charlie Brown), Tracy Turnblad (Hairspray), Paulette (Legally Blonde).

Matt Kizer

Matt Kizer has been the resident designer for Plymouth State since 1996. He has presented workshops on projections for performance nationally and internationally, including the Prague Quadrennial, the National Opera Association in New York, and The Cyprus Theatre Organization in Nicosia.  His work has been presented at the Kennedy  Center in D.C., and with A-Fortiorni dance company in Germany.    He designed for two years with Operafestival Di Roma in Italy with the Orchestra Sinfonica dell’ International Chamber Ensemble at Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza in central Rome.  His projection media and virtual education tools for theatre are used by institutions around the world.  In 2019, his work was included on behalf of the United States at the The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space both in exhibition and performance.  He has a B.A. from Purdue University, and an M.F.A. from The Ohio State University.
